Recalling with gratitude the interest the recipient has taken in Nicodé's efforts in the past, expressing the hope that it will remind him of Nicodé now that the change in [Franz?] Mannstädt's position is imminent, countering the objection that he lacks the experience of regular conducting by saying that he has conducted his own works, and occasionally those of others, etc.
